After working as a graphic designer in NYC for a year and half, Lena Ghaleb is pursuing an MFA at Parsons School of Design.
Kate Weltner relocated to Portland, OR, in August to attend the Montessori Institute Northwest in a cooperative master’s program with Loyola College. She spent a few weeks traveling in the Baltics, including Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, before embarking on her cross-country adventure. Nicole Hemmett Griffiths and husband Erik welcomed son Evan last year. He joins brother Wesley, 2. Nicole, who completed a master’s in reading, thoroughly enjoys being a stay-at-home mom. Erik is a recruiter for nuclear programs in the Navy.
Joe Shomphe and Lori Macango were married in March 2004. Liz Ginns Britten, Andrew Cencini ’01, Vanessa Raptopoulos, and Lauren Roberts-Fairbanks ’01 were on hand to celebrate. Joe and Lori welcomed son Jack to their family in April. After creating the perfect baby carrier for Jack, Lori launched her own company, Snuggle Sling (www.snugglesling.com). The couple welcomes hearing from Skidmore friends at lori@shomphe.com.
