In July Pat Naigles Lyons attended the 50th reunion-planning meeting on campus with Marge O’Meara Storrs, Joan Firmery, Florence Andresen, and Chick Glassey Ehbrecht. Before leaving their Adirondack home for Florida this fall, Pat and Herb spent the day with Albany, NY, residents Marcia Seymour Hanson and husband Paul Dean. Marcia also plans to be at Reunion.

Margaret Bishop Maynard and Bill have moved from Cape Cod to Annapolis, MD. Jean Pinney Heitchue and Reg are thrilled because they spend weekends there, traveling from their condo in Reston, VA. Jean and Reg are looking forward to Reunion.

About a year ago Romaine Harrington Wasserman moved to Saratoga to be near her son, a teacher, and his family. Romaine is enjoying her granddaughter, age 2. She retired from her administrator job at the New Jersey Medical School two years ago; previously she was in the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at Columbia University. Her daughter runs the Neighbor-
hood Concert Series for Carnegie Hall and sings with a band on weekends. Romaine’s husband, who passed away a number of years ago, was a professional musician and taught music in
Clifton, NJ.

We were shocked and saddened to receive word that Mugs Cahn Zales’s husband Bill was killed
in a car accident in Greenwich, CT, in September. They had enjoyed attending his 50th reunion at Dartmouth in June and had a wonderful visit with Julie Gaines Phalen and Cliff at their place in Vermont in July. Bill and Cliff roomed together for five years at Dartmouth and Tuck. The Zaleses had also gotten together with Muriel Jorgensen Benisch and John. Muriel attended the service for Bill, along with many other friends, and heard the four children pay tribute to a very loving father. As Mugs said, “Billy never changed, he was just perfect!”

Having ruined her Achilles tendon bicycling in Europe, Toby Rowe Hohenstein had surgery to repair the damage in September. When I saw her recently we had a great time catching up over lunch, and she was getting around quite well on crutches. She and George couldn’t wait to get to the Bahamas; but they have definite plans to be back in the States to serve on the welcoming committee at Reunion.

Bob and I, Sally Huberlie Hale and Jud, and Carol Elsaesser Squiers and Jim are all looking forward to seeing you at Reunion.
