In Tolland, CT, Frances Barnett Cambria is blind and hard of hearing but still active. She asked her son to inform classmates that she “still enjoys a good lobster dinner every Sunday.”

Mildred Myers Atkinson lives at Fair Haven, an assisted-living facility in Brunswick, GA, about 20 minutes from her son’s home on St. Simons Island. Mildred gets out and about with the help of a motorized chair.
