Martha Seem Banghart is in her 36th year of teaching high-school choral music. She has started an adult choir, the Deer Creek Chorale, which together with the North Hanford A Cappella Choir will represent Maryland in the mid-Atlantic tribute to the Olympics: They will sing Carmina Burana in Beijing and Shanghai. Daughter Tracy earned her master’s in publishing in Oxford, England, and is a published author.

Jaye Scholl Bohlen is a freelance writer and editor in Glendale, CA, where she lives with husband Charlie. Daughter Avis is a senior at Harvard. Son Charlie is a freshman at Washington University in St. Louis; he took a “gap year” to travel to New Orleans, as well as Madagascar, Thailand, and Cambodia. Younger son Peter is a high-school senior.
