Sheila Cowan Gins is still living the country life in Katonah, NY. She is a broker for Coldwell Banker Previews International. Husband Roger is starting a new company, AR Connect. Son Erik is at the Marvelwood School in Kent, CT, and looking at colleges. Sheila would love to hear from classmates.
Joan Berger and her family went to Israel last summer to visit family and had a great time. Her daughter, Sara Geiger ’11, is thrilled to be at Skidmore and enjoying all the college has to offer.
After 20 years at home raising three children, Allison Freeman Ulmer has returned to teaching French at Nowell High School, near her home on the harbor in Cohasset, MA. Both daughters graduated from Williams College—Ashley in 2005 and Kimberly in 2007. Son Wesley is in the class of 2009 at Thayer Academy in Braintree. Allison’s husband of 33 years, Kevin, is still in biotech startups.
Carolyn Hanchett Spector took some classes in graphic design and is working with a local designer. Son Jeff is a senior at Southern Methodist University. Daughter Susan is a senior at Northwestern University. Carolyn says she’s “lost her mind” by taking up riding a motorcycle about the same time she joined AARP!
Janice Greenberg Ellinwood’s news was erroneously reported in the 1975 class notes last issue. Her youngest daughter, Samantha, graduated from Carnegie Mellon University last spring and works for Proctor and Gamble. Middle child Lindsey is pursuing a master’s in tourism at George Washington University while doing events for an agency in D.C. The oldest, Amy, returned to the D.C. area after completing a master’s in international education at Stanford University. Janice is thrilled to have them all moving closer to home.
