Joanne Handler married John Rau on Martha’s Vineyard on August 2. The couple had dated at Skidmore until John transferred to Hamilton. Joanne never forgot about John, referring to him as “the love of my life.” In May 2005 John contacted her through her high school’s Web site. Joanne is a librarian at Trinity School in Manhattan. John is a senior VP in financial advice in the Palm Beach, FL, office of Lehman Brothers. He is a director of the Palm Beach Civic Association and on
the board of the American Cancer Society of Palm Beach.

Jenny Charlesworth Thomas reports that an endowed fund in memory of Pat Tosi McGrail, who died in 2005, has been established at Massachusetts General Hospital, where Pat was an oncology nurse for most of her career. The annual cash award, the first of its kind at Mass. General, honors experienced nurses who teach and mentor novice nurses.

Sandra Farrell took a great trip to Cozumel, Mexico, last July with Lori Gedon and Wendy Backin Lubetsky. She says the weather was perfect, and the company was even better. It was a “girls-only vacation that made us all want to do it again.”
