Don’t forget to save the dates for our mini-reunion and 50th birthday party to be held August 8, 2008.

Kim Alger-Norton was inducted into the Barnstable High School Athletic Hall of Fame. In October 2006 she and her teammates on the 1976–77 T’bred basketball team were inducted into Skidmore’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Kim is a personal trainer.

Peggy Bresnick Kendler is a freelance writer who covers facilities design and financial technology. She also writes teacher’s guides and content for educational publishers. Son Jesse is 9; daughter Lizzie is 6. Peggy and family spend some time in Saratoga each year to see Sandy Ferguson-Farrell ’79, Lori Gedon ’79, Gail Capobianco ’79, and Wendy Barkin ’79. She is also in touch with Kathleen Cavanaugh Elken, a special-ed teacher, Vashti Brotherhood, who runs her own advertising firm, and Vicki Morgan, who teaches middle-school art in Maine.

Wendy Collins-Gutfarb and husband Bill were in Hong Kong, visiting Bill’s son Willie, who is studying at Lingnan University for his junior year abroad from Hobart College. Stepdaughter JoJo is a freshman at Mount Holyoke. While in Hong Kong, Wendy and Bill ran into Howard Kriteman at the InterContinental Hotel there. Wendy has seen quite a few classmates recently, including Jane Doherty Cassidy, a school nurse in Swampscott, MA. Wendy is still riding and now has four horses in her “collection.” She was hoping to show in Florida this winter. She gets together in Saratoga every May with Alyssa Davidson Oxley, Collette Reifers Huidekoper, Liz Martin Gross, and Linda Cooke Ashley for Skidmore’s Senior Art Show.

Lawyer John Howley became chair-elect of Skidmore’s board of trustees in October. (Click here to read more).

Linda Perani Waterbury and husband Jim celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary on Nantucket this fall. Cindy Rainey Kacher, Kathy Coulter Steeger, Linda Levis Kammerer and Brendan, and Anna Petite Lee and Tom all came to help celebrate this important date (with a fabulous phone feed from Mitty Frenzel!) Linda writes, “We had the best weekend for weather and fun. My daughter and her Hamilton girlfriends were there too, and we Skidmore girls showed them how to dance all night!”

Having enjoyed reconnecting with so many good friends during our last two reunions, Chip Boyd has stayed in touch with three others, forming “The Fearsome Foursome”: Seth Bershadsky, CEO of a media company in Morristown, NJ, Andrea Warren Huffman, director of sales at East West Fresh Farm in Warwick, NY, and Susan Milner McCall, an art teacher in Bristol, VA. Chip notes, “Seth has already agreed to wheel me in for the next reunion in 2010. He recently enjoyed another very special mini-reunion with former compadre Betsy Seed Wakeman ’81 in New Hampshire. “It was a very interesting time, to say the least, as 26 years is a lot of territory to cover.” Chip is glad to see that most of us are happy and healthy as the half-century mark approaches. He lives in Maine and welcomes hearing from Skidmore friends at nipsnook@netzero.net.
