In November 2006 Chrissy Sarazen Chisholm and husband John welcomed their second child, Katie, to the family. Big brother Jay “loves her to pieces!”
Michele Gemelos completed a PhD in English literature from Oxford University and has settled into a new house just outside Cambridge with her partner, James. She is teaching 19th- and 20th-century literature at Cambridge University and working on a book about British impressions of NYC. She is always happy to hear from Skidmore friends, especially if they’re passing through the UK. She can be contacted at michele.gemelos@gmail.com.
Tony Llano was recently named business-improvement manager for John Deere’s worldwide 5000 Series tractor business, headquartered in Augusta, GA. He will coordinate process improvement initiatives in China, India, Brazil, Germany, and Mexico. Tony is VP for outreach on Skidmore’s alumni board.
Kate Koons married Kevin Emery in June in Wyoming. Emily Wilhelm was a member of the wedding party. The newlyweds live in Victor, ID, where they own land and will eventually build a house. Kate works for the National Outdoor Leadership School, a wilderness education and expedition organization. Kate and Kevin headed to Antarctica in October, to work with a scientific expedition for five months.
John Dickerson married Amy Elkins on July 28 in Tarrytown, NY. Adrien Blanc, Henrik Westin, Emily Leckman Westin ’96, and Joseph Ferris were on hand to celebrate the nuptials. John and Amy live in NYC.
Amy Natale Tricoli and husband Mike welcomed first child Ayla on February 8. After a wonderful seven-month maternity leave, Amy returned to work part-time as a school psychologist in Winchester, MA. The family lives in Framingham.
Evan Schneider and his wife, Shelby, welcomed daughter Molly on July 6; she joins brother Tanner, 2. The family lives in Saratoga Springs.
Aeolan Kelly bought a house in Los Angeles, CA, last year. She’s still a film/TV editor, but weighing it seriously with running away and joining the circus. She had a fantastic time at Reunion ’07 and didn’t realize how much she misses everyone!
Skidmore art professor Deb Hall visited Domani Studios in Brooklyn, NY, founded by Jonathan Hills and Bill Fletcher ’96. They have about a dozen designers working for them—including Paris Woodward ’06 and Zach Gage ’07. Prof. Hall reports, “They have won numerous awards, including the ID Gold Award for their Website of the Whitney Biennale, and have been featured in AIGA and most of the major design publications. They are working with video and Flash. It is very exciting.”
Lydia Paiste Badger and husband Jeff welcomed son Ernest on August 19. The family lives in South Portland, ME, where they operate Small Victory Studios, a company that produces limited-edition designs created by Maine artists printed on organic cotton T-shirts. Justin Demola and wife Jaime welcomed second daughter Maia on June 15. The family lives in Martinsville, NJ
