Marjorie Scott Ott says all is well for an 87-year-old. Two sons live near her in Delray Beach, FL, and another is in Alexandria, VA. Her daughter-in-law is an ordained Episcopal priest at the National Cathedral in D.C. Marjorie’s eldest son has accompanied her on many enjoyable cruises to the South Pole.
Bobi von Lenz Chenhall has moved to another address within the same community in Cincinnati, OH. She has a large studio apartment, in which she paints. She continues exhibiting as well and says she is “loving every minute of life.” Bobi recently saw Shirley Stockwell Wade, who is recovering from a fall.
Helen Rickenback Scott is keeping the home fires burning. With her traveling days behind her, she stays busy attending fitness classes twice a week. Ricky’s daughter lives in Palo Alto, CA, and an 11-year-old grandchild lives nearby, in New Britain, CT.
Flannel Chayes Lathrop is still playing bridge and faithfully going to the gym. Her only problem is not being able to reach things in her closet; she has shrunk four inches and has stepstools scattered all around the house.
Ellen Gandsey Cornwell enjoys seeing familiar names in Scope Quarterly.
Virginia Giovannozzi Sands moved from New Hampshire to Colorado to be near her daughter and son-in-law. She lives in a wonderful retirement community called Balfour, which offers many activities and lectures. She can’t believe that 66 years have gone by since graduation.
Nancy Jack Bell still enjoys her retirement home in Carlsbad, CA. She swims five days a week and does other exercise three times weekly. Her daughter lives just 10 minutes away.
Beverly Blickman Yunich spent the summer in Saratoga Springs, NY, for the racing season. She loves Skidmore’s Tang Museum.
In Yorktown, VA, Sadie Kirsh Krauss lives in an apartment attached to her granddaughter’s house. She plays a lot of bridge.
Alma Foote Gray still lives in Taunton, MA, and does a lot of volunteer work. A grandson is a freshman at Boston College, and a granddaughter is at Wheaton. Alma stays in touch with Jane Seeman Pearce, Flannel Chayes Lathrop, Ginny Giovannozzi Sands, and Connie Tupper.
Katharine Smith Macpherson is in assisted living with her husband of 65 years, Hector. They stay busy but happily do not have to cook their own meals.
Adrienne Sammet Hudson is also very happy in her retirement community. She and Donald see Ellen Mathewson Patterson often and visited Helen Kindergan Higgin, who was on her way home to California from Maine.
Due to failing eyesight, Jane Seeman Pearce gave up tennis last year. However, she still plays a mean game of golf. The best part of her life is her 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Judy Helmick Settle lives in Borrego, CA, and summers in Englewood, CO. She stays busy making quilts and held a show this fall. She also plays golf twice a week.
