We are saddened by the passing of Joan Keir Carle, whose death was noted in the last Scope. We recall Joan’s New England air of maturity and sophistication, even as a student. Always vibrant, she spent much of her retirement doing volunteer work for church and youth groups. We send condolences to her family.

In November, Skidmore’s Schick Art Gallery opened Palette Maestro, curated by Rosanne Brody Raab. The exhibition was a retrospective of the late Prof. Earl Pardon’s work in jewelry, painting, and sculpture.
