Erin McHugh has decided to step down as reunion chair for our 35th, as several literary achievements and events are filling up her busy calendar. She just signed a contract for her next book, long in the making. The L Life, a coffee-table photo-essay volume on lesbian heroines, will require extra time for completion and promotional travel. Her five volumes of The Portable Queer: Secrets and Scandals: A Compilation of Events that Rocked the Gay World are now available, and The Little Road Trip Handbook will be on the shelves by May, in time for Reunion signing.

With a keen eye for detail and creativity and organizational flair, Emily Pavlovic Chiles is the ideal successor to Erin. And, bonus, she volunteered to take the job! Those of us on the reunion committee are breathing a sigh of relief and gratitude, because we are in the throes of planning the best reunion yet.
