Nancy Hamilton was one of 13 partners from the Jackson Walker firm named Houston’s Top Lawyers in Houston magazine. Together with a representative of the Tribune Company and the chair of the ABA Communications Law Forum, Nancy created a national diversity-initiatives program to improve the hiring and retention of minorities, specifically in media law. A frequent writer and lecturer on trial tactics and media law, she has also been included in the Best Lawyers of America. She earned a JD from the University of Houston Law Center.

Judi Steinman Janes was named executive officer of the Hawaii Island Chamber of Commerce in Hilo, HI, this past fall. The 111-year-old organization is the oldest chamber on the island and serves over 325 businesses. It’s an exciting departure from Judi’s career as a scientific consultant in the legal world, and she is enjoying it. She invites classmates to contact her at exec@hicc.biz if they are thinking about a trip to Hawaii Island, home to some of the world’s best beaches and Mauna Kea and Kilauea volcanoes, which offer “nature’s own fireworks display.”
