Rob Charney married Carrie Watkins this past August. Best men included Nedim Aruz, Marco Cappabianca, and Sam Vaughan ’06. Also helping the couple celebrate were Chuck Colby, Dan Schwartz ’98, Lindsey Pope Powers, Adam Lewis ’98, and Kristin Sciacca. Rob and Carrie spent two weeks swinging from jungle vines in Hawaii before settling back into their new treehouse.

On October 8 Luis Alicea married Rosa Rivera. Luis (orgosolution007@yahoo.com) will graduate from Teachers College-Columbia University in May. Last year he was selected to participate in the 2008 NSF Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate Summer Research Scholars program. AGEP is a partner in the University of California systemwide effort to increase the number of underrepresented minority students in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics PhD programs.

Annie Taylor Mecca (UWW) is a 28-year broadcast veteran with experience
as a voice-over actor, program producer, director, commercial and promotional copywriter, journalist, photographer, on-camera talent, and educator. She is the founder of Mecca Media Group LLC, established in 1985 in Fairfield County, CT. Her newest endeavor is as creator/executive producer and host of a syndicated radio show, “Jazz Stew,” featuring interviews and backstories on jazz legends and new artists alike. “I wanted to combine my love of jazz and cooking into the ‘stewpot,’” says Annie.
