Miriam Tempkin Kuskin’s daughter Susan informed me that her mother passed away in 2008 at age 96. Susan had moved her parents to an independent living facility in Atlanta, GA, in 2001, and they had two wonderful years there before her father died in 2003. Miriam was a voracious reader and enjoyed her social life to the end. She could still speak French and Russian and lectured the family on French Impressionism while touring a museum just a few days before she died of congestive heart failure.
