Susan had moved her parents to an independent living facility in Atlanta, GA, in 2001, and they had two wonderful years there before her father died in 2003. Miriam was a voracious reader and enjoyed her social life to the end. She could still speak French and Russian and lectured the family on French Impressionism while touring a museum just a few days before she died of congestive heart failure. |
