Ann Hammel Kahl’s running group Fitness Partners held a three-mile run/walk to celebrate Ann’s 80th birthday. They encouraged folks to chase Ann to the finish line! Ann says a lot of cake was consumed afterward. She has completed a book on the art of calligraphy and is contemplating another one about the importance of fitness, particularly as one ages.

Maureen Hanway Foulke took a cruise on the Danube River. She motored through Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, and Hungary, which Reni found most interesting. She says that everywhere she went, people asked why the United States is moving toward socialism.

Dorothy Danninger Ericsson and husband Ebbie have moved from their home in Barnegat Light, NJ, to one with a second floor for guests. Unfortunately, the Ericssons lost their winter home of 22 years, a 44-foot Marigold trawler, to a fire.

Nan Kent Leonard enjoys reading class notes. She has a five-year-old grandson, who is “a wonderful gift.”
