Jean Schlosser Morgan celebrated her birthday with Martha Franson Clarke ’70 and Susie Godlewski Glover at Jeannie’s home in Orlando, FL. Martha and her husband live in Bradenton, FL, and Susie lives in Boston.

Sandra Lipson celebrated her 60th birthday by hosting a fundraising party to help nonprofit World Class construct latrines in Doblo Gonno, Ghana. A DJ played one song from each of her 60 years and dubbed the event “Dance to My Loo.” Among the guests were World Class leaders Judy Willsey and Barbara Tsairis, Debbie BozBeckian Raptopoulos, Lee Lustberg, Barbara Burgess Maier, Barbara Zerwitz Corcoran, Jane Roberts Alpert ’70, Louise Mallette ’74, Lucy Stinson Tshuka ’95, and Paula Brody, wife of Alan, who taught English and theater during our time at Skidmore. The party was fun and successful.

Sandra and Nancy Carter, Debbie Raptopoulos, Barbara Maier, and Jane Alpert gathered at Upstairs on the Square in Cambridge, MA, where Susan Regis ’81 is the chef, for a going-away dinner for Lee Lustberg and her husband, who were moving from Boston to Portland, OR. Sandra also stays in touch with Judy Sarubin, who lives in Chevy Chase, MD, and Kathie Braman of Newton, MA. In addition, she has reconnected with Marie Costello, Mary McDonald Klimek, Jill Aszling-Shek, Barbara Emerson, Bev Leader, Marilyn Savage, Kathie Kreisher, and Sibyl Waterman Haley. Sandra was on campus to attend the Tang’s fall exhibition opening and spotted Kathie Kreisher across the room. Kathie later had a mixed-media solo show focused on self-portraits, Katharine Kreisher: Sense of Self, at the Arkell Museum in Canajoharie, NY.

Dana Warner Fisher appeared in the Broach Theatre production of Gulf View Drive in Greensboro, NC. She is a teacher and librarian at Southwest Middle School, where she coaches the Battle of the Books club. She also volunteers with Girl Scouts and is heading up her guild’s project for Make a Difference Day.

At Coffin School in Brunswick, ME, the first full-day kindergartners in Connie Kniffin’s class welcomed the school year by singing “The Hello Song.” It is Connie’s first-ever full-day teaching schedule in 24 years. She looks forward to getting to know the children better, enjoying more outside play, art, music, gym, and time in the school library.

For 15 years Barbara Bull Riester has been responding to large disasters at the request of the American Red Cross. She is currently in American Samoa, serving as bulk distribution manager. She says, “Each assignment is busy and hard work, but also personally rewarding.”

Both of Sally Stoddard Collier’s sons were married in Rhode Island in the past two years, one in Newport (now living in Boston), and the other in Watch Hill (now living in NYC). I can concur with Sally when she expresses the joy at having “two lovely young women join our family!”

Martha Seem Banghart retired after 37 years of teaching high school music but maintains her private voice and guitar studio.

Martha Resnik Reiss is a clinical nurse specialist in the emergency department at New York Presbyterian Hospital.

Charlon McMath Hibbard has joined “the sandwich generation.” Her mother, Betty Noyes McMath ’47, had a serious fall, and her care has fallen to Charlon. Adding to a very successful Mary Kay career, Charlon recently became involved with a new company called Wowgreen.
It is based in Michigan and manufactures nontoxic, plant-based cleaning supplies. Being well connected in her community has helped Charlon cope with her home life and succeed in her professional life.

Beverly Jochnowitz Marshall ’72 shares a fond memory of MB McDonald, who died last January. Beverly and MB lived in Moore Hall during Beverly’s freshman year. She remembers MB’s lively spirit and intelligence and wanted to say a final “thank you” to her for encouraging a trip to Stanford during the summer of 1969, where Beverly first met her husband (whom she married 27 years later!).

Last year Judy Pigott’s daughter, Cari Boyd Hermann, gave birth to son Will, and Judy stayed with them for a while. That same month, she attended a memorial service for her beloved stepmom, Vivian. Judy says, “It was a very full month that emphasizes the mystery and fragility of life.” Her business, Personal Safety Nets (personalsafetynets.com), a life- and professional-coaching nonprofit, is doing fine in its new location in Judy’s home.
