Rachel Levy is director of marketing and social media at Second Time Around consignment clothing retailer. STA is a chain of 22 stores on the East Coast and in Chicago. She lives in Brookline, MA, with her yellow Lab, Stella.
Brittany Hoff Feinson and husband Mike welcomed baby Lila last April. She joins brother Oliver, 2. Lila shares her birth date with Brittany’s grandfather. The family is happily settled in Bethesda, MD, and spends time with Washington resident Kimberly Pikul (“Auntie Kimmy”). Lila traveled to Massachusetts and Seattle last summer to meet some of her extended Skidmore family, including aunties Beth Steingard Murphy and Maritza Rivera ’91.
Michael Harmon, who is in his 12th year working for Quad Graphics, is part of the service team that printed the fall issue of Scope, the first run since the company acquired the contract. Mike hosted Jon LaConti, Marc Nayor, and Dave Sweedler for the annual “guys’ weekend” in mid-August, which involved lots of golf, horse racing, and partying. Mike and the guys are hoping to get Scott Greenstone, Tate Rice, Andrew Serby ’92, and Craig Vannortwick to join them next year. Mike has coached sports in Saratoga for many years, including a three-year stint as JV boys’ basketball coach at Saratoga High. He also coached current major league baseball pitcher Tim Stauffer during his Babe Ruth career. Mike, who still plays softball, has rediscovered his passion for golf in recent years. He says, “I’m remembering why I spent so much of my youth playing!” He encourages Skidmore friends visiting Saratoga to contact him at dawglb@nycap.rr.com.
Until last year Maika Manring was living in San Francisco, working in finance at Goldman Sachs and then at UBS as a VP in private wealth management. This past summer she moved home to Seattle and made a career change. Maika and two partners opened up the Northwest’s first Bar Method exercise studio (http://seattle-eastside.barmethod.com). The Bar Method is a combination of Pilates, yoga, and ballet conditioning that is spreading like wildfire in major cities. Maika, who stays in close touch with Jennifer Short Ramirez and Mindy Baumgartner Phillips, would love to reconnect with other Skiddies in the Seattle area.
