alumni news Skidmore's own fall classic Celebration Weekend a hit
Club connection: Boston, Mass.
About 20 alumni, parents, and guests braved the dark, cold, spooky streets of Boston in late October to enjoy a Halloween season “frightseeing” tour of the city’s historic burial grounds. Participants rode in a trolley-style bus and explored on foot, guided by costumed performers who told tales of “tortures, punishments and executions.” At one point, recalls event organizer Kate Herbst ’02, “they locked us in a cemetery and took off—and then somebody popped out from behind a grave!” The transportation and performances were provided by Old Town Trolley Tours. Kate O’Rourke Storm ’02, new to the Boston area, was pleased to use the event to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones. She adds, “I loved the tour. It was hilarious!” —PD
