Balance

The Balance program focuses on philosophies and practices that are concerned with holistic wellness. The students will participate in a variety of interactive workshops and activities that will offer information on both well-known and lesser known practices. They will learn ways in which they can incorporate these practices into their everyday lives as college students and beyond.
Students will participate in workshops on Yoga, Meditation, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Pranayama and Energy Medicine. They will kayak (weather permitting) and spend time cooking together, learning how to whip up healthy desserts, and more! All classes (including Yoga) welcome students at all fitness and experience levels.
The program is led by a Health Promotion professional, as well as two upper-class students. In addition, workshops and interactive hands-on sessions will be offered by an assortment of local holistic practitioners.
