Schick Art Gallery, Tang Teaching Museum post new schedules

Skidmore's Schick Art Gallery and Tang Teaching Museum have announced their schedules for the holiday week and early January.

The Tang Teaching Museum’s schedule is as follows:
Closed Dec. 24, 25, and 31, and Jan. 1.
Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26, to Friday, Dec. 29.
Open from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, the final day for Twice Drawn and Nina Katchadourian: All Forms of Attraction.

In January, the Tang will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, Jan. 2-31. On view: “Teaching at the Tang" in the Winter Gallery; video by Dara Birnbaum, Trisha Brown, and William Wegman on the mezzanine; and a new wall drawing by Sol LeWitt in the atrium. The museum will be closed weekends and the main galleries will be closed for installation of new exhibitions.

The regular Tang Museum schedule resumes in February.

The Schick Art Gallery will be closed until Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, when it reopens with the annual Skidmore Student Exhibition.  An opening reception is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 30.  Admission is free and open to the public.
