Spinella Named USILA Honorable Mention All-American
Skidmore senior lacrosse midfielder Tom Spinella (New Hartford, N.Y./Loomis Chaffee-MA.)
has been selected United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association honorable mention
All-American.
The award is the third straight for Spinella, who was a USILA honorable mention in
2004 and third team in 2005.
Spinella led Skidmore and the Liberty League in goals per game with 2.69 and was
fourth in scoring with 35 goals and six assists for 41 points. He finished his career
fourth on Skidmore's all-time scoring list with 143 goals and 27 assists for 170 points.
He was the 2005 Liberty League Player of the Year and a three-time Liberty League
All-Star.
The award is the latest for Spinella, who was one of four athletes to receive Skidmore's
2006 Senior Athlete Award.
The Thoroughbreds finished the season 6-7 overall and 2-4 in Liberty League play.
