WORDS: Hip Hop, Poetry, and Jazz Returns to Skidmore for Fifth Year

December 8, 2006

Words, a performance group that uses words and music to foster positive change, returns to Skidmore for a fifth straight year for a concert at 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, in Filene Recital Hall. Advance-sale tickets (available at Case Desk) are $7 per person. Admission at the door is $10.
The concert is sponsored by Students Organized Against Racism.

Although the performers change yearly, the group's message is the same: hip hop, poetry, and jazz can combine to make a positive message for change. This year's performers will be Akil Dasan, Flaco Navaja, Big Mike, Jo-Jo, and Rebel Diaz.
