ECAC cites Delbuono as Goaltender of the Week

Skidmore College hockey freshman DJ Delbuono (Westborough, Mass. / New England Huskies) was named the Turfer Athletic ECAC East Goaltender of the Week for the week ending, Jan. 7. Delbuono helped the 15th ranked Thoroughbreds to a 2-0 weekend by stopping all Babson 27 shots he faced for his program-record third shutout of the season, and made 28 saves in a win over U.Mass-Boston. The talented freshman is fifth nationally in Division III with a .930 save percentage and 15th with a 2.26 goals against average. Skidmore is 12-5-2 and will travel to Salem State (7-12-0) Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. followed by a 3 p.m. game at ECAC East co-leader Southern Maine (12-6-1) on Feb. 3.
