SEC to present concert by indie band Of Montreal

The Student Entertainment Company at Skidmore College will present American indie pop band Of Montreal, making their first appearance at Skidmore College on Saturday, April 21, 2007, in the Sports and Recreation Center.

Tickets are $20 for the general public. Tickets may be purchased at the Case Center on campus or on Ticketmaster. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door the night of the concert. Doors will open at 8 pm.

The group's latest album, "Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer?" released in late January, has received critical acclaim from noted reviewers in Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and Filter magazines. Peaking at number 2 on the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart, Hissing Fauna has propelled the band to a new level on the indie circuit. The Athens, Ga., natives, who have released eight albums in their 10 years together, create an electric live show involving "elaborate costumes and stage antics."
