October 30, 2008

Belle Frank, executive vice president and director of strategy and applied research at Young & Rubicam, will visit classes taught by Elzbieta Lepkowska-White, associate professor of management and business, this Friday, Oct. 31.

Frank will attend the ?Foundations of Marketing? class at 8:40 a.m. in Bolton Hall, room 282, and the ?Marketing Research? class at 10:10 a.m. in Bolton Hall, room 281. Both classes are open to the Skidmore community. Frank also will attend a career/lunch session with students at noon to discuss careers in advertising.

The visit is the latest in a series called the ?Inside Advertising Speakers Program? offered by the Advertising Educational Foundation. The program sends high-level, seasoned advertising and marketing executives to campuses across the country to discuss with students and faculty the advertising process, how it fits into our social and economic structure, and issues surrounding advertising.

Frank directs communications strategies for the agency and co-manages Y&R?s Brand Planning Department. She started with the company in 1984 and is currently responsible for Y&R perspectives on key brand, consumer, and communication development and measurement issues.
