Faculty authors included in Post's 'Best Books of '08' list

December 8, 2008

Skidmore authors Vasugi (Sugi) Ganeshananthan, visiting writer-in-residence, and Steven Millhauser, Tisch Professor of Arts and Letters, have books included in the "Best Books of 2008" edition of the Washington Post Book World.

Ganeshananthan's Love Marriage "follows a fractured family of Sri Lankans who have scattered around the world. Told in a series of lyrical, linked stories, it is surprisingly feminine and fable-like," according to reviewer Nandini Lal. Click here for the review.

Millhauser's collection of short stories, Dangerous Laughter, features stories that "deal with decidedly complex themes: the price of obsession, the folly of hubris and the inevitable collapse of best-laid plans," noted critic Jeff Turrentine. Click here for the review.
