Doyle writes new job-search book

book coverAlison Doyle, associate director of Career Services, has written a new book, Internet Your Way To a New Job (2008, Happy About).

The book aims to help the job seeker through the online job-search process, including use of search engines and company Web sites; creating effective electronic resumes and cover letters; using e-mail and online application forms; networking in virtual spaces such as LinkedIn and Facebook; and building a career. Chapters include "Building Your Brand" and "Where to Find Jobs."

According to the publisher, "job seekers need to be prepared to use all the online job search tools to their advantage ... there are tips and tricks you can use to make the process run smoothly and simply. Alison Doyle will provide you with everything you need to know on how
to build your career and find a new job."

Doyle has also written the About.com Guide to Job Searching (Adams Media, F&W Publications, 2006) and is co-proprietor of Doyle & Doyle Communications.

Internet Your Way To a New Job will be available in paperback and as an e-book. More at the publisher's Web site.
