Banff Moutain Film Fest world tour stops at Skidmore Feb. 15

The Skidmore College Outing Club will host the Banff Mountain Film Festival at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, in Gannett Auditorium of Palamountain Hall, on campus. Tickets are on sale at Eastern Mountain Sports stores in the Capital Region. Prices are $10 for students, $13 general admission in advance, and $15 general admission at the door.

For over 30 years, the Banff Mountain Film Festival has presented stunning international film productions on mountain themes ranging from mountaineering to ice and rock climbing to wildlife and environmental issues, as well as mountain sports such as skiing, kayaking, snowboarding, and much more. Experienced mountaineers and armchair adventurers alike can share and find inspiration in these mountain experiences, ideas, and visions.

The tour brings the festival to 305 cities in 20 countries around the world covering territory across Canada, the USA, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and the South Pacific.
