Skidmore Democrats offer response to Ashcroft lecture

Ken Hurley is the president of the Greater Jacksonville, Fla., chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union. He is going to rebut many of the assertions raised by former U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft, who spoke at Skidmore last week, and will talk about the importance of restoring civil liberties, even in wartime.

Hurley's talk is scheduled at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in Emerson Auditorium. Admission is free and open to the public. The event is sponsored by the Skidmore Democrats and the Student Speakers Bureau.
