Lecture topic: Family-friendly ways to fight global warming

University of Massachusetts scholar James K. Boyce will deliver a talk titled ?Environment for the People: How to Fight Global Warming While Protecting the Incomes of American Families. ? The talk, this year?s William K. Weiss Lecture, will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in Davis Auditorium of Palamountain Hall. Admission is free and open to the public.

Boyce teaches economics at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he directs the environment program at the Political Economy Research Institute.

Starting from the premise that every person has an equal right to share in the wealth of nature, Boyce?s talk will explore effective policies to fight global warming and build a clean-energy economy for the future while protecting the incomes of American families.
