Honors Convocation starts countdown to Commencement

Fifty-three seniors will be honored Tuesday, April 29 at the college's annual Honors Convocation, the first in a series of events leading to the College's 97th Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 17.

All faculty and staff are invited. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the upstairs banquet room of the Murray-Aikins Dining Hall.

President Philip A. Glotzbach and Vice President for Academic Affairs Susan Kress will present the awards, while Dean of Studies Michael Ennis-McMillan will read citations for all recipients. Sixty-six academic awards and prizes will be made to 59 students. The Skidmore Accents will perform musical selections.

The Honors Convocation marks the beginning of the College's farewell to graduating seniors. Many seniors being recognized Tuesday night will make presentations on their capstone projects at the Academic Festival on Wednesday, April 30.
