Publications
Victor L. Cahn, professor of English, has published his play ?Fit to Kill? with Samuel French. Eight
of Cahn?s other scripts have been collected in Roses in December and Other Plays (2009, Wipf and Stock.) ?Roses in December? recently enjoyed a month-long run at
the Boulevard Theatre in Milwaukee. From April 1-10 Cahn will return to the stage
at Curtain Call Theatre in Latham, where he will present his one-man show ?Sherlock
Solo,? which he performed off-Broadway last year.
Cahn also has published Classroom Virtuoso: Recollections of a Life in Learning with Rowman and Littlefield. This spring, the same company will publish his book
Conquering College: A Guide for Undergraduates.
Jay Rogoff, lecturer in English, has published several new poems: ?Death?s Addiction? and ?Time
Out? in The Grove Review, Vol. 2, No. 2 (2008); ?Chaos Theory? in Hotel Amerika, Vol. 7, No. 1 (Fall 2008); ?Corpus Christi? in Margie, No. 7 (2008); and ?Daughters of Invention? and ?War and Peace? in The Southern Review, Vol. 45, No. 1 (Winter 2009).

Robert Boyers, professor of English, was a source for a story reflecting on the death of author
John Updike titled ?Author recalled as unfettered, prolific,? published Jan. 28 in
The Daily Gazette.
Ron Seyb, associate professor of government, was an in-studio guest Jan. 23 on WNYT-TV?s noon
news program, discussing the appointment of Rep. Kirsten Gillibrand to the U.S. Senate.
Robert Turner, associate professor of government, was a source for several political stories that
made headlines recently, including the following newspaper stories: ?Senate choice
pleases experts,? Jan. 25 in The Sunday Gazette; ?Friends defend longtime state legislator?s legacy,? published Jan. 24 in The Daily Gazette; and ?Upstate U.S. Senate Dem hopeful catered to her district,? Jan. 22 in Newsday. In addition, he was a guest on Time Warner Cable TV?s ?Capital Tonight? program to
discuss the Gillibrand appointment. The program aired on Time Warner stations throughout
the state.
