Big Green Scream returns to campus this weekend

The Big Green Scream returns Saturday, Feb. 21, when Skidmore?s men?s and women?s basketball teams take on William Smith and Hobart in a Liberty League doubleheader at the Sports and Recreation Center. The women?s game starts at 2 p.m., followed by the men's game at 4 p.m.

The fun-filled day will feature food, prizes, raffles, and a dorm banner contest.

There is no admission charge for the game, but for $10 in advance, fans receive lunch, T-shirt, and special raffle ticket. Advance tickets are available in the dining hall Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 16 and 17, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and in Case Center Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 18 and 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is no charge for lunch for Skidmore Meal Plan holders who swipe their card (preregister at Dining Hall or Case Center).

Fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $15.

Residential Life is sponsoring the banner contest, with the winning residence ahll receiving a high-end game table. Crowd applause will determine the winner during halftime of the men?s game. The first 350 fans will receive a special gift from the Environmental Action Club and there will be a variety of contests and giveaways throughout both games.

The event is sponsored by the Skidmore Athletics Department, Residential Life, Sustainable Skidmore, Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and Environmental Action Club.
