Boyers edits new book on author George Steiner

The book (2009, New Directions), which also features an introduction by Boyers, collects Steiner?s best work from the more than 130 pieces he wrote for The New Yorker. Between 1967 and 1997, Steiner wrote more than 130 pieces on a great range of topics for the magazine, making new books, difficult ideas, and unfamiliar subjects seem compelling not only to intellectuals but to ?the common reader.?
