Dance Alliance, Skidmore to host ?Dance+19? this weekend

The annual ?Dance+19? Festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, March 21, in the Skidmore Dance Center.

A longtime Saratoga tradition, the annual festival is a weekend of dance classes and workshops in a variety of dance styles and body movement therapies. The event is open to all dancers age 7 and older, including non-dancers, at levels ranging from introductory to advanced. More than 40 classes in diverse dance and movement areas such as ballet, modern and ethnic dance, jazz, tap, social dance, yoga, tai chi, and body workshops will be offered.

Specific classes are available for teens, adult beginners, experienced dancers, and children ages 7 to 12. Guest artists, area teachers, and members of the Skidmore dance faculty will teach the sessions.

Full-day fees paid at the door are $45 for adults or $15 per class. Discounts include $35 full-day fees for students and seniors and $8 per children's class.
