Gordon Thompson, professor of music, used the 40 ^th anniversary (March 6, 2010) of the Beatles song "Let It Be" as the inspiration for a new entry to his blog on the Oxford University web site.

Patricia Rubio, associate dean of the faculty and professor of Spanish, recently did two interviews relating to the Feb. 27 earthquake in her native Chile. On March 1, WNYT, Newschannel 13, aired an interview conducted by reporter Mark Mulholland. On March 2, Rubio was the source for a story titled "Professor has insight on Chile earthquake" published in The Daily Gazette.
