Busy week ahead for Thoroughbreds

Ice hockey will host its first "Pack the Rink" at 7 p.m. Friday against Bowdoin. There will be prizes and contests, and the first 400 fans will receive a free T-shirt. Free shuttle bus will bring people to the game from Case Center, starting at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday, Skidmore will host Colby College at 4 p.m. All games are played at the Saratoga City Rink and admission is free. 

After last week's historic road win against Southern Vermont, men's basketball opens its home schedule at 8 p.m. Tuesday against Hartwick and will then host the annual Hilton Garden Inn Tournament this Saturday and Sunday at the Williamson Sports Center. This year's tournament field consists of the Thoroughbreds, Bard, Thomas, and Utica.   Skidmore will take on Bard at 4 p.m. Saturday while Thomas will face Utica at 6 p.m. with the consolation and championship being played Sunday.

Women's basketball will also have three games this week, hosting Hartwick at 6 p.m. Tuesday then traveling to Williams College for this year's Williams Classic on Friday and Saturday.   The Thoroughbreds will take on Trinity at 6 p.m. Friday and then face off against the host Williams at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Men's and women's swimming and diving will wrap up the fall schedule this upcoming weekend.   The Thoroughbreds will compete in the Liberty League championships Friday and Saturday at Union College. ~ By Cody Berschwinger
