Victor L. Cahn, professor of English, has published two plays, Roses in December and Embraceable Me, with Samuel French, Inc. Roses in December, a dramatic play of letters, is "rich and revealing," according to The New Yorker. Embraceable Me, a dramatic comedy, is "sure to win over even the most hardened theatre-goer's heart," according to The New York Times.

Evan Mack, lecturer in music, is the composer of "Dream of Freedom," a choral suite featuring the poetry of Langston Hughes, which will be published in January 2011 by the Hall Leonard Co.

Paul Arciero, associate professor of exercise science and chair, Health and Exercise Science Department, presented an "Academic Minute" Nov. 24 on WAMC-FM.

Sandy Baum, professor emerita of economics, was a source for "Are Americans as Poor as They Feel?" published Dec. 2 in Bloomberg Businessweek.

Crystal Dea Moore, associate professor of social work and director, Social Work Program, was interviewed by WAMC-FM about her research on drinking habits of older people. The story also included an interview with Nichole Hilsen MacFarland '89, a Ph.D. student at UAlbany's School of Social Welfare and clinical director of Senior Hope Counseling Inc., of Albany.

Ron Seyb, associate professor of government, was a source for a story titled "Should secrets be kept hidden? Area experts weigh free speech issues and consequences," published Nov. 30 in The Saratogian.
