Skidmore geoscientists, students track earthquake in Japan
Amy Frappier, Charles Lubin Family Professor for Women in Science, and Sarah Stelmack, teaching associate in geosciences, gave their students a real-world lesson on the morning of March 11, 2011, following an earthquake of historic proportions in Japan. Students tracked the earthquake on the College's seismograph and followed news reports of the tsunami as it moved across the Pacific to America's shores.
The teachers discussed their experience with The Post-Star and WNYT-TV, NewsChannel 13.
