Lip Dub finale in Congress Park

Downtown Saratoga Springs was buzzing with excitement on the afternoon of Thursday, Sept. 1, as throngs of local residents turned out for a citywide "lip dub" video shoot featuring songs by the popular rock group Train. A group of Skidmore students, including college mascot Skids, were among those included in the shoot.

And now it's time to see the final product, as the video makes its debut on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 6-8 p.m. at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center. The event is open to the public free of charge.

The evening will feature local musicians performing as the Saratoga All-StarBand and a behind-the-scenes slide show on the making of the Saratoga Lip Dub. There will be special give-aways, and an opportunity to walk the red carpet, buy a Lip Dub t-shirt, and meet some of the local stars of the production dressed in their costumes.

A limited menu of food, soda, water, beer, and wine will be available. The public is invited to bring a picnic dinner to enjoy on the lawn (please note that no alcohol can be brought into SPAC).

Organized by the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce and directed by Modern Mix Marketing of Saratoga Springs, the video production has been designed to showcase the city's lively downtown and its wide range of cultural, business, entertainment, and civic offerings.
