Barry Goldensohn, professor emeritus of English, is the author of a new book, The Listener Aspires to the Condition of Music (2011, Fomite).

Poet and Pulitzer Prize-winning critic Lloyd Schwartz writes, "Barry Goldensohn is a good listener.
