Keith Fitz-Gerald, a 1987 Skidmore College alumnus who is recognized as one of the world's top experts on global investing, will share his economic outlook in a free public lecture at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, in Gannett Auditorium, Palamountain Hall.
In his roles as contributing editor to Money Morning and investment director of the Money Map Report, Fitz-Gerald provides daily investment advice to more than 500,000 subscribers in 35 countries. The author of Fiscal Hangover: How to Profit from the New Global Economy (Wiley, 2009), Fitz-Gerald is a frequent commentator on such financial news outlets as Varney & Co, CNBC, BNN, and Bloomberg.
His upcoming book, Tomorrow ? to be published in April by Sutton Hart ? spotlights today's global trends and offers a roadmap for business leaders and investors to profitably navigate the turbulent waters of unprecedented global change.
Fitz-Gerald, who majored in management and business at Skidmore and went on to Chaminade University for a master's in international finance with a focus on Japanese business science, is spending three days on the campus, meeting with classes in investments and international business and participating in a business etiquette workshop organized by the Office of Career Services.
Fitz-Gerald started his first business and began investing the proceeds at age 15, but he officially launched his business career 19 years ago when he joined Wilshire Associates, the globally recognized financial consulting firm. Having discovered key financial relationships that allow the markets to be modeled using complex systems based on Chaos Theory, Fitz-Gerald has been recognized as both a true pioneer of the form and an expert at using non-linear theory for market prediction, risk management and portfolio construction
