Skidmore: best value
This year number-crunchers and raters again placed Skidmore among Forbes’s best-value U.S. colleges and universities.
The top 300 schools for “meaningful return on investment” and “best bang for the tuition buck” were measured by tuition costs, academic quality, graduation success, student debt upon graduation, postgraduation earnings, and other factors. Little wonder that many of the top scores went to major research universities, whose graduates tend to seek and find particularly well-paying jobs. But the list is also full of small, strong liberal arts colleges and a range of other institutions.
Skidmore’s profile puts in the top half of the Forbes pack, in the neighborhood of Macalester, Mt. Holyoke, American, and Bryn Mawr. Here’s a quick look at all the Forbes, Princeton Review, Niche, and other Skidmore rankings—including for entrepreneurship, sustainability, and food.
