Skidmore recognized as a top liberal arts college
Skidmore College continues to be recognized as one of the nation’s top liberal arts colleges and a best value for students.
U.S. News & World Report ranked Skidmore No. 39 in the National Liberal Arts Colleges category of the 2020 Best Colleges rankings released Monday. In addition, the publication named Skidmore in the top 50 for “Most Innovative Schools,” as well as a “Best Value School.” Kiplinger and The Princeton Review have also recognized Skidmore as a best value college for the educational opportunities it affords students.
The Princeton Review also lists Skidmore among the “Best Schools for Internships” with 84% of Skidmore students completing one or more internships during their studies. The College was featured in its 2020 overall list of best colleges, announced in August, and was named a “Top 50 Green College” for its commitment to sustainability.

Skidmore College has received multiple favorable rankings from other publications, including The Wall Street Journal/Times Higher Education, Business Insider and Forbes.
Since rankings cannot completely capture the distinct and complete nature of any college, prospective students are invited to visit the campus in Saratoga Springs, New York, a place Travel and Leisure calls one of “America’s Best College Towns.” Learn more about Skidmore at skidmore.edu/admissions.
