Welcome to the Online resources page for CL 103.

What follows is a list of the better web-based resources for Vergil and Latin poetry in general. Check back frequently, as new sites will be added regularly.

Vergil's Home Page is perhaps the best Vergilian resource on the web. Part of the Vergil project at the University of Pennsylvania, it features links to images, texts, bibliographies, and discussion groups. (Warning: the site is infrequently updated.)

Text and commentary on the Aeneid are available through the Perseus Project, the premiere website of classical studies. The text is linked to useful notes, and there are also links to online dictionaries.

Hexametrica. A series of pages (with sound files) that introduce the meter of the Aeneid and other epic poems. Written by Prof. Dan Curley of Skidmore College, the site is currently under revision and will be online soon.
