CRITIQUE CRITERIA
As you will note from the syllabus,
25% of your class grade depends upon your work as we focus on Galinsky:
-
15% depends upon your presentation
-
10% on participation in the other presentations.
The "mini-reports" are folded into both, so that if you
do a mini-report on Suetonius, it will be reflected in the 15%; your participation
in someone else's report on, e.g., Coinage, will be part of the 10% of
the grade.
The criteria I will use for all the presentations:
-
organization
-
how organized was your presentation? did you elucidate
the goals of your presentation at the onset?
-
was your presentation cohesive?
-
did you select issues that focused the class' attention?
-
oral delivery
-
how articulate was your presentation? that is, were you
able to make yourself understood clearly?
-
content
-
did your presentation reflect accurately the material
covered by the readings?
-
did you the presenter understand the issues clearly?
-
handout
-
how helpful, clear and informative was the handout?
-
web page
-
was the on-line version accessible before the presentation
as required?
-
was your webpage creative in the use of on-line materials?
-
classroom management
-
did you maintain control of the classroom discussion?
-
did the discussion accomplish your goals that you elucidated
at the onset?
