-
Final Plans and Death
Jennifer Tuozzolo and Graham
Johnson
Much has been made of Alexander's
final plans, and what steps he might have taken after his return from the
Indian campaign. Assess the last year of Alexander's life, and in light
of what we know about his past actions, evaluate what the sources tell
us about his final plans. Did he truly intend to conquer other lands, and
if so, how realistic were his intentions? Also, his death has been portrayed
in as romantic a light as the rest of his life. Do his last moments deserve
such treatment? How do the sources assess his final plans and demise?
