The Perseus Project:  An online searchable database of texts and images from the ancient world.  See the CL 222 online resources page for details.

LIMC — Lexicon Iconographicum Mythologiae Classicae:  The Latin title means "Iconographical Dictionary of Classical Mythology."  The artistic representations of every major and minor mythological figure in myth are treated here.  LIMC entries are of two types: text and pictures.  The text discusses the mythology of a particular character, and how that mythology is expressed in art.  The pictures, located in the companion volume, illustrate the discussion.

     Alas, Skidmore does not have LIMC in its reference section.  But SUNY-Albany does.  Perhaps a pilgrimmage is in order....
