About Us / Honors
Departmental Honors: To be considered for honors in classics, a student must, in addition to fulfilling College requirements for departmental honors, receive a grade of at least an A- on an honors research paper in either CC365 or in an advanced Greek or Latin course. Specific requirements for the paper are established by the department.

Helga B. Doblin Prize in Classics: Established in 1997 to honor Helga B. Doblin, Professor of German, Linguistics, Greek, and Latin 1966-1981, and awarded to a senior classics major who has demonstrated academic excellence in both ancient languages and literatures as well as classical civilization.
