An online tutorial, developed by Dan Curley at Skidmore College, designed "to provide a basic understanding of the most common poetic meter, the dactylic hexameter."

Students of the elegiac couplet (hexameter's daughter) will also benefit from this website, which features illustrations, audio files, and a glossary of technical terms.
